Eric C. Smith is a 2004 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Eric has an extensive resume and ten years of experience in the fields of landscape and construction. Shortly after graduation, Eric moved to Houston to work for Gillman~Rose Landscape Architects and Contractors, a high-end residential design / build firm creating premier landscape environments in the River Oaks, West University (Rice), and Memorial Village areas. By joining together with Justin Baker, a fellow graduate and friend, the two created Smith & Baker Landscapes, LLC in October of 2004. By combining creative minds, as well as, a vast knowledge of construction materials and customer service, the two have developed a landscape construction company that Baton Rouge has longed for.
Justin Baker is a 2004 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. After Graduating from LSU, Justin worked for Edward D. Stone Jr. and Associates (EDSA) on a wide variety of community planning and urban design projects. Justin returned to Louisiana in 2005 to establish Smith & Baker Landscapes, LLC with his business partner Eric Smith. In his role as co-owner, he provides conceptual design, design development including design illustrations, site construction, and project management. Justin is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Landscape Architecture's professional society.
