The clients chose to “phase-in” the project at their convenience, starting with a custom-built play structure. Phase one began with a conceptual plan designed to illustrate the implementation of all site elements. This plan showed approximate sizes and minor design aspects of the project, without providing intricate design to the detail level. Once the area for the custom-built play structure was determined, construction documents were developed to ensure its proper function. Each feature was approved by the client, including a tube slide, belt swings, tire swing, fireman’s pole, monkey bars, and a zip line, just to name a few.
